The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation has constituted a three-member Pay Committee to study the financial impact of the 2021 Pay Revision and prepare new time scales for its employees. This committee is entrusted with the detailed preparation of timescales for the RPS 2021 revision.
According to the corporation, following government orders, a Cabinet Sub-Committee led by the Deputy Chief Minister held discussions with the Joint Action Committee of unions on April 24.
After detailed deliberations, the Deputy Chief Minister announced an 11 per cent fitment benefit under the RPS 2021 scheme. Accordingly, the TGSRTC Vice- Chairman and Managing Director Y Nagi Reddy, with the concurrence of the financial authorities, has officially formed the committee to assist management in finalising these scales.
The specialist panel includes Geetha, Sameera Afreen and Shireesha. The Pay Committee shall attend to the preparation of comparative past and present wage structures, alongside category-wise data regarding the number of employees and their respective wages as of April 1, 2021.
They will calculate the total financial impact resulting from the revision based on the percentage increase and develop the new time scales.
Any other tasks associated with the RPS 2021 implementation will also be handled by this group.
Managing Director Nagi Reddy has advised the committee to commence this work immediately and submit the comprehensive pay structure sheets to his office by May 10 without fail. This timeline ensures that further action regarding the implementation of the new pay scales can proceed promptly.
The move marks a significant step toward addressing employee demands while ensuring the financial stability and structural administrative clarity of the state transport corporation during this transition period.
