Prayagraj: Pratapgarh police on Thursday arrested a man who had allegedly committed a burglary at his brother’s house, along with his aide.A joint team of Jethwara police and crime branch arrested the two burglars, Uday Kaushal and Ankit Kaushal, residents of Derwa, and seized ₹81,200 in cash and jewellery worth several lakhs of rupees from their possession.Police said it was Uday Kaushal who planned the burglary at the house of his brother Hariom, a jeweller, when the latter, along with his family, had gone to attend a wedding function in a neighbouring village on Sept 21.Uday Kaushal confessed to police that he was facing huge debts and could think of no other way to clear pending dues than to steal from his brother’s house.
