Spirit is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated films in Prabhas’ lineup, directed by none other than the sensational Sandeep Reddy Vanga. With a vision said to have international appeal, expectations are sky-high for this pan-Indian spectacle.

Now, the grapevine is buzzing with rumours about the female lead. Whispers suggest that the makers initially approached Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone to star opposite Prabhas. However, according to industry chatter, things might not have gone as planned. It’s being said that Deepika allegedly put forth a few conditions — including a share in profits as part of her remuneration, a refusal to speak dialogues in Telugu, and a cap on working hours.

Rumour has it that these terms didn’t sit well with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who is known for his intense and uncompromising vision. As a result, the buzz is that the team may have moved on from Deepika — though nothing is confirmed.

Of course, all of this is pure speculation at this point, and no official word has come out. If there’s any truth to it, fans are now eagerly waiting to see who will eventually be paired with Prabhas in this much-awaited film.
