The Class 12 Board examinations 2026 conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) were held in a single shift between February 17 and April 10. Today, CBSE has officially released the Class 12 results for the year 2026. The long wait for lakhs of students has finally come to an end.
In the Dehradun region, a total of 81.42 percent of students passed this year. This region comprises 13 districts from Uttarakhand and 8 districts from Uttar Pradesh. The Dehradun region has secured the 17th rank among the 22 regions across the country.
The CBSE Intermediate results in Nainital district achieved a 100 percent pass rate. Students from most schools secured marks ranging from 95 to 98 percent. Among the school toppers, female students outperformed their male counterparts, securing the top positions.
According to CBSE guidelines, a minimum of 33 percent marks in each subject is required to pass Class 12. Under the grading system, grades ranging from A to D are considered a pass, whereas an ‘E’ grade signifies a failure. Therefore, it is mandatory to secure a grade higher than ‘E’ in all subjects; otherwise, the student is required to appear for a compartment examination or retake the exam. Students who appeared for the examination can now easily check and download their scorecards by visiting the official website.
