VIJAYAWADA: Education and IT minister Nara Lokesh has asserted that the alliance government succeeded in attracting major investments to Andhra Pradesh, which would generate large-scale employment and self-employment opportunities for the youths.
Senior leaders and public representatives belonging to the Guntur parliamentary constituency held an informal dinner meeting at the residence of Union minister for state Pemmasani Chandrasekhar in Guntur on Friday evening.
Lokesh also participated in the discussions on matters like strengthening of the Telugu Desam and reviewed the latest political developments.
The leaders deliberated on development and welfare programmes being implemented in Guntur district and exchanged views on constituency-wise development works and plans. Discussions were also on the mobilisation of development funds and achievements recorded during the past 22 months.
During the interaction, Chandrasekhar and several MLAs brought to Lokesh’s notice the difficulties being faced by some party workers during TD’s years in the opposition. Lokesh assured them that he would extend full support to party cadre and that they could approach him at any time to discuss such matters.
Among those present were MLAs Mohammed Naseer Ahmed, Burla Ramanjaneyulu, Tenali Sravan Kumar and Galla Madhavi, MLC Alapati Rajendra Prasad, Guntur Parliament TD president Pilli Manikya Rao and party general secretary Pothineni Srinivasa Rao.
