Reports confirm that tremors were felt in the Yamuna Valley as well as in various parts of Uttarkashi and the Ganga Valley. Following the tremors, the district administration and disaster management agencies swung into action, gathering information from various parts of the district through the Emergency Operations Center.

The administration also sought updates on the situation from the Tehsil offices and relevant departments. So far, there have been no reports of structural cracks, road damage, landslides, or any other form of damage. While the tremors caused anxiety among the public, experts note that a major earthquake cannot be predicted based on a single tremor. The administration has urged people to remain alert rather than panic. Uttarkashi is considered a seismically sensitive district. Several parts of the district fall within a seismically sensitive zone.
