Seven injured people are still being treated at the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Central Hospital and University Teaching Hospital in Miskolc, where 9 people were transported from the scene of a serious bus accident on the M3 highway, a spokesperson for the hospital told MTI on Tuesday afternoon.

Csaba Németh wrote that two of the injured patients are being treated in serious, life-threatening but stable condition in the Central Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit (KAITO).

Four patients are being treated in the hospital’s Traumatology Department, where they are receiving care appropriate to the nature and severity of their injuries. One person is being treated in the neurosurgery department,

The hospital said it is providing all the necessary professional and material resources for the care of the injured, and Polish interpreters are also available for their relatives. Doctors have briefed family members on the condition of the injured, and accommodations have been arranged for the relatives.

As Hungary Today reported, twelve people were killed and 47 injured after a bus carrying Polish pilgrims overturned early Sunday morning. Police suspect the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
