Grenada Distillers Limited is seeking a competent and creative forward thinker to join their Sales and Marketing team as their new Sales and Marketing Manager.
Job Objective
Be instrumental in elevating our brand by researching and developing marketing opportunities. Implement effective sales and marketing strategies to drive growth, increase brand awareness, enhance customer engagement, and expand market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Sales and Marketing Teams to meet and exceed operational goals and targets
- Represent the company’s brand and drive strategies to increase product awareness by monitoring the market, competitors, and industry trends
- Manage corporate communications to ensure consistent, engaging, and goal-aligned messaging
- Maintain relationships with the media by issuing press releases, coordinating interviews, and promoting company initiatives
- Oversee the development of marketing materials, campaigns, and digital content to align with the brand and communication plan
- Develop, implement, and maintain sales and marketing plans and policies
- Develop and review the company’s sales and marketing budget regularly
- Manage product distribution channels by establishing schedules and setting sales targets for staff
- Monitor company sales, forecast future needs, and implement new sales and advertising plans as necessary
- Assess marketing techniques continually and determine their effectiveness in the sales process
- Research and develop marketing opportunities and plans, analyse consumer requirements, identify market trends, and improve strategies to achieve marketing goals
- Gather, investigate, and summarise market data to refine marketing plans and promotional initiatives for profitability and brand recognition
- Cultivate and deepen relationships and partnerships that add value to the company
- Build and maintain strong customer relations through regular visits, understanding needs, and anticipating new opportunities
- Maintain and expand the customer database
- Explore new export markets for the company’s brand in conjunction with the General Manager
- Manage the development and implementation of launch campaigns and company events
- Ensure acceptable standards in all areas of branding, including marketing, communications, and advertising
- Collaborate with Production and other departments to ensure cohesive strategies and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with the General Manager to create and report on the Annual Sales Budget
- Prepare and submit the Monthly Report for the Sales and Marketing Department to the General Manager
- Motivate, inspire, and build a strong team through hands-on leadership
- Coach and develop the Sales and Marketing teams with ongoing training
- Conduct performance assessments of department staff
- Implement good housekeeping practices, GMPs, and comply with Food Safety Management System requirements
- Any other related duties as assigned by management
Minimum Requirements: Qualification, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Qualification (Education)Degree in Business, Marketing, or related fieldKnowledgeFamiliarity with web-based marketing and social media
Thorough understanding and knowledge of sales and marketing
Knowledgeable of various digital marketing strategies
Knowledge of and experience with forecasting, data analysis, and report-writing

At least 3 years’ experience in a managerial role

Physical Demands
- Extended/long hours with the occasional need to work weekends and on public holidays to meet deadlines and attend events
- Normal working conditions for a manufacturing environment; involves moving throughout the plant to monitor activities and progress
- The job includes visiting areas in the production plant that may require the use of safety/personal protective equipment (PPEs), to include but not limited to: safety glasses/goggles, gloves, safety boots/shoes, and respirators (in specific areas)
- The job holder must therefore be able to comfortably wear the PPEs necessary to safely conduct the job function
