Camper & Nicholsons, Port Louis Marina invites applications for the post of Qualified Electrician (with all-round maintenance skills). The Electrician supports the safe, efficient and professional operation of Port Louis Marina by maintaining, repairing, and improving marina and shoreside infrastructure, electrical systems, facilities, equipment, and utilities.

Specific Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain marina electrical systems, including:
  • Shore power pedestals
  • Dock lighting
  • Breaker panels
  • Controls systems
  • Marina buildings and facilities
• Respond promptly to electrical faults, service requests, and power outages
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before failures occur
• Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable electrical codes, regulations, and marina safety standards
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
• Perform routine repairs and maintenance of marina facilities, buildings, docks, pontoons, and grounds
• Support special projects, facility upgrades, and seasonal maintenance programs
• Support maintenance of marina vehicles, tools, equipment, generators, pumps, and machinery in good working order
• Ad hoc fuel dock and waterfront operations as required
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
• Strong computer literacy and understanding of general IT systems
• Valid Grenadian Driver’s License
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
• Fit and healthy with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks
• Numerate and capable of maintaining accurate forms, records, and reports

Preferred

• Marine electrical certification or experience working with shore power systems
• Experience with both 110V 60Hz and 220/230V 50Hz electrical systems
• Knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices applicable to Grenada and the Caribbean region

Minimum Qualifications and/or Qualities

Requirements

• Certified Electrician or equivalent recognised Grenadian electrical qualification
• Minimum 2 years’ electrical maintenance experience
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and fault-finding skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, with the aptitude to learn maintenance management software
• Experience working with commercial, industrial, marine, or marina electrical systems
• General maintenance and handyman experience
