Request for Expressions of Interest (EOI): Business Development & Mentorship Consultant (Part-Time)
The Grenada Sustainable Development Trust Fund (GSDTF) invites Expressions of Interest from qualified individual consultants to provide business development, training, and mentorship support for SMEs participating in the Gender-Responsive Livelihood Support Initiative within the Woburn–Clarke’s Court Bay Marine Protected Area. The consultancy supports women, youth, and fisher folks to strengthen sustainable, conservation-compatible livelihoods.
Objective
To provide integrated business development, training, and mentorship support across the full SMEs pathway from application assessment and business planning to business formalisation, seed grant readiness, and post-funding mentorship.
Summary of the Scope of Work
The consultant will:
- Assess applications and appraise business plans
- Design and deliver a practical small business training programme
- Coordinate specialised training in marine conservation and safety at sea
- Support business formalisation and registration
- Provide structured mentorship to funded MSMEs and prepare project reports
Timeline
- Assignment period: November 2026–June 2027
- Duration: 7 months (up to 160 working days)
- Application deadline: 2 October 2026
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced business development professional with at least 3 years’ experience in SME development, business plan writing and appraisal, entrepreneurship training, and post-grant or post-investment mentorship. Applicants should demonstrate strong facilitation, report writing, and stakeholder coordination skills, with knowledge of Grenada’s business registration (CAIPO) and experience working with women- and youth-led enterprises. Familiarity with fisheries, marine protected areas, or community-based conservation is an asset.
