A 16-year-old male of Sabb, St Andrew, has been charged with the offence of Non-Capital Murder, for causing the death of 66-year-old Melvar Wharwood by unlawful harm.

The charge was laid following Police investigations into the discovery of Miss Wharwood’s motionless body at Mirabeau, St Andrew on Sunday, 3 May 2026.

The juvenile is expected to make his first court appearance at the Grenville Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 11 May 2026.
