The Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) is pleased to announce the 5th Annual Dive and Conservation Festival, taking place from 26 October 26 to 1 November 2026.

The festival has grown into a signature event on Grenada’s tourism calendar, bringing together local dive operators, marine experts, conservation groups and dive partners from across the tri-island state. Held under the theme Sustainable Legacy, this year’s milestone edition builds on the collaboration of industry partners while highlighting Grenada as a destination where adventure, marine tourism and environmental responsibility are closely connected.

Kirl Grant-Hoschtialek, Chief of Operations and Acting CEO of the Grenada Tourism Authority, said the milestone reflects the continued importance of Grenada’s natural environment to the destination experience. “Our natural environment is one of Grenada’s defining assets, and the continued growth of this festival reflects its importance to both tourism and community life. The Dive and Conservation Festival creates meaningful opportunities for partners in the dive and conservation sectors to connect with visitors and residents, share knowledge and encourage greater appreciation for the marine environment we all benefit from.”

This year’s festival will offer a range of experiences across Grenada and Carriacou, with diving, conservation education and community activities taking centre stage. The programme will include opportunities to explore Grenada’s underwater sites, learn about coral restoration, reef rehabilitation and engage with initiatives focused on protecting the country’s natural environment.

A key feature of the festival will be the Conservation Conversations series, designed to connect students with experts from various fields and provide opportunities to learn about environmental conservation across the tri-island state and beyond. Other activities will include birdwatching, community clean-up initiatives and experiences that encourage deeper engagement with Grenada’s land and marine environments.

“This 5th edition marks an important milestone for Grenada’s dive and marine tourism sector,” said Shanai St Bernard, Nautical Development Manager at the GTA. “The festival has grown into a highly anticipated event, giving visitors and residents a firsthand connection to Grenada’s marine life while reinforcing the responsibility we all share in protecting it. That balance between exploration, education and conservation is central to sustainable tourism, and it remains at the heart of this festival.”

As Grenada looks toward the future, the Dive and Conservation Festival serves as a reminder that the experiences we create today help to shape a more sustainable destination for generations to come.
