Some of the articles that were destroyed in the fire
The Fire Department of the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) is currently looking into a fire that took place Monday night at the old headquarters building of the state-owned National Insurance Scheme (NIS) on Melville Street in the city.
The section of the building that was affected mainly by the fire houses the Ministry of Legal Affairs and the Chambers of the Attorney-General of Grenada, Senator Claudette Joseph.
ACB Bank is also a tenant in the building as it operates on the bottom floor.
Fire tenders were quickly on the scene to prevent the fire from spreading throughout the building.
RGPF has not issued any statement about the cause of the fire.
