The incumbent will be responsible for the strategic planning and day-to-day operations related to coordination and management of on-site buildings, premises, property maintenance services and processes.
Key Duties include:
- Coordinate the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the company’s buildings, grounds, and utilities
- Schedule and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities
- Liaise with contractors and service providers to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget
- Conduct routine facility inspections and coordinate repairs
- Support compliance with health, safety, environmental, and fire safety requirements
- Maintain maintenance records, service schedules, permits, and facility documentation
- Monitor facility-related expenditures and assist with budget management
- Coordinate office and plant improvement projects
- Respond promptly to facility emergencies and maintenance requests
Qualification and/or Experience: Critical:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management, Building Services, Engineering or related technical field
- At least 5 years’ experience in the construction industry
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in facilities coordination, maintenance, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Working knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance, and occupational health and safety requirements
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) is an asset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with internal teams and external contractors
