The Grenada Olympic Committee Inc. (GOC) is pleased to announce that the Boxing Association of Grenada Inc. has been recognised as an Endorsed Member of World Boxing, the international federation governing Olympic-style boxing.

At its meeting on 29 April 2026, the Executive Board of World Boxing endorsed seven new membership applications, including that of the Boxing Association of Grenada Inc. The endorsement brought World Boxing’s membership to 175 National Federations, comprising 123 Full Members, 1 Associate Member and 51 Endorsed Members.

As an Endorsed Member, the Boxing Association of Grenada Inc. is eligible to participate in World Boxing competitions and activities, subject to applicable eligibility requirements and World Boxing regulations.

The recognition is an important development for boxing in Grenada. Recognition by the relevant International Federation is a fundamental requirement for affiliation with the Grenada Olympic Committee, and World Boxing’s recognition of the Boxing Association of Grenada Inc. provides the basis for the GOC to work with the Association in accordance with its affiliation requirements.

The GOC welcomes this development and looks forward to working with the Boxing Association of Grenada Inc. to further develop boxing and enhance opportunities for Grenadian athletes at the local, regional and international levels.
