Coach Henry Elder has expressed his satisfaction with Poama Qaqa’s performance, noting that the result has elevated the lifter to fourth in the Commonwealth rankings, strengthening his chances of qualifying for the upcoming Games.

Qaqa faced early challenges with weight management leading into the competition, but delivered when it mattered most, stepping onto the platform with determination and composure.

He secured a total of four bronze medals across the IBFC Universal Cup and the Oceania Senior Championships, earning podium finishes in the snatch, clean and jerk, and overall total categories.
