MALKERNS – South African media personality and entertainer Somizi Mhlongo, popularly known as SomG63, has officially confirmed his appearance at the inaugural Eswatini Kota Festival, adding even more excitement to one of the Kingdom’s most anticipated lifestyle events of 2026.
In a personal video invitation shared by the festival organisers, Somizi called on Emaswati and visitors from across the region to attend the event, which is set to take place on 24 October 2026 at Malkerns Country Club.
The confirmation comes just days after organisers unveiled a star-studded entertainment line-up featuring some of Southern Africa’s biggest music acts. Somizi is expected to serve as one of the event’s master of ceremonies, bringing his signature charisma and vibrant personality to the festival.
Organisers described his confirmation as another major milestone for the event, which marks the first time South Africa’s renowned Kota Festival Tour will be hosted in Eswatini.
The Eswatini Kota Festival promises a full day of entertainment, delicious food, cultural experiences and entrepreneurship, while also promoting tourism and supporting small business development. Beyond celebrating the popular township delicacy, the festival aims to create opportunities for local vendors and strengthen cultural and economic ties between Eswatini and South Africa.
Festivalgoers can look forward to live performances from leading artists including Ringo Madlingozi, Amanda Black, Mlindo The Vocalist, MÖRDA, Young Stunna, eMtee, Aymos, Xowla, Young Zesh and several other performers and DJs.
With anticipation continuing to build, organisers have urged the public to purchase their tickets early as early bird tickets are selling fast.
Tickets are available through MojaTicket outlets nationwide and online, as well as Computicket outlets in Shoprite stores. Early bird tickets are priced at R150 for adults, R100 for students, R80 for children, while VIP tickets cost R800. Parking will be available at R50.
The festival is expected to attract thousands of music lovers, food enthusiasts and tourists from Eswatini and neighbouring South Africa, making it one of the biggest lifestyle celebrations ever hosted in the Kingdom.
Somizi now officially confirming his attendance, excitement is reaching new heights as the countdown begins to what promises to be an unforgettable day of food, music, culture and entertainment on 24 October.
