DPM URGES RESPONSIBLE USE OF PUBLIC FUNDS AS VULNERABLE FAMILIES PRAISE THEIR MAJESTIES’ COMPASSION

NHLAMBENI- Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla has called for the responsible use of public resources, saying every lilangeni allocated by Government should be used honestly and efficiently to improve the lives of emaSwati, particularly the country’s most vulnerable citizens.

Speaking during the handover of three newly built homes in Nkomiyahlaba, Ludzeludze and Nhlambeni, Dladla said Government programmes are intended to uplift communities and therefore require integrity, accountability and proper stewardship from everyone entrusted with public funds.

She stressed that public resources should never be misused for personal gain but must reach the people they are intended to serve. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, responsible management of Government funds enables more families to benefit from development programmes, including decent housing and other social support initiatives.

Dladla also reflected on the compassion shown by Their Majesties towards vulnerable citizens. She said Their Majesties remain deeply concerned about the welfare of emaSwati and have directed leaders to visit communities, identify families living in hardship and ensure that those without adequate shelter receive assistance.

“The instruction is to go into communities and see how people are living, whether they have a proper roof over their heads and what support they need,” she said.

The beneficiaries echoed this message through heartfelt words of gratitude.

At Nkomiyahlaba, Thandi Mavimbela thanked Deputy Prime Minister Dladla, the Government of Eswatini and Their Majesties for restoring hope to her family through the gift of a safe home.

At Ludzeludze, Thobile Msibi was overcome with emotion and shed tears of joy as she thanked Their Majesties and Government for replacing the unsafe conditions her family had endured for years.

In Nhlambeni, Sipho Maseko said receiving a decent home had renewed his family’s hope after years of uncertainty, expressing sincere appreciation to Deputy Prime Minister Dladla, the Government of Eswatini and His Majesty King Mswati III.

The handovers demonstrated more than the delivery of houses. They reflected a commitment to ensuring that vulnerable families live in dignity while reminding public leaders that every public resource must be managed responsibly to improve the lives of all emaSwati.
