The WeLoveU Foundation plans to provide computers to students at rural schools in Cambodia, as the organisation explores opportunities to expand its humanitarian programmes and strengthen cooperation with Cambodia.
Khuon Phon Rattanak, Cambodia’s Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, met with Lee Seung-An, Secretary-General of the WeLoveU Foundation, at the Cambodian Embassy in Seoul on Wednesday, to discuss strengthening cooperation between the two institutions and expanding the foundation’s humanitarian activities in Cambodia.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on ways to deepen their partnership and broaden humanitarian assistance, particularly in rural communities.
Rattanak noted that next year would mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cambodia and the Republic of Korea. He expressed hope that the foundation’s chairperson and delegation would consider visiting Cambodia and exploring opportunities to expand humanitarian projects in rural areas.
In response, Lee Seung-An informed the ambassador of his plan to visit Cambodia in the near future and bring computers for students at rural schools facing shortages of educational resources.
Lee also invited the Cambodian ambassador and his wife to attend the WeLoveU Foundation’s annual humanitarian music event scheduled for November.
