Prime Minister Hun Manet has expressed hope that 2027 will bring peace and prosperity to Cambodia, following a period marked by border conflicts and flooding through 2025 and 2026.
Speaking yesterday while leading a graduation ceremony for more than 2,000 students at the University of Management and Economics in Battambang province, the premier reflected on recent hardships.
“I hope that by 2026, all the bad things will have come to an end, and that 2027 will bring peace and prosperity,” he said.
Mr Hun Manet underlined that Cambodia must not rely solely on hope but actively prevent crises, address challenges and strengthen national capacity.
Urging continued hard work, resilience and development, he stressed that peace and prosperity must be built through collective efforts.
