Renowned influencer and content creator Mbuziseller Nelson Saisi visited Banteay Meanchey province from Thursday to Saturday to promote the province’s tourist destinations.
Upon his arrival, Oum Reatrey, Governor of Banteay Meanchey province, warmly welcomed him.
Saisi visited a village in Sla Gram commune, Svay Chek district, to learn about the lives of refugees from the six villages that were affected by the Thai military’s invasion, causing them to become homeless, landless, and without schools, depriving children of the opportunity to learn.
The Thai military erected barbed wire and placed containers to illegally occupy the villages, preventing citizens from returning to their homes.
Saisi praised Prime Minister Hun Manet for establishing safe havens for the refugees.
During his trip, Saisi also visited Banteay Chhmar Temple in Thma Puok district, Trapeang Thma Reservoir in Phnom Sok district, and several other tourist sites before leaving the province to continue his mission of promoting Cambodia’s tourism potential, culture, and destinations on the international stage.
