The entire Member Association of the Caribbean Football Union have reaffirmed their collective position to support FIFA President Gianni Infantino in his re-election bid at the next voting congress in Morocco next March.
This came after a formal consultation and approval process involving the 25 Member Associations this week.
The CFU says they’ve acknowledged FIFA’s initiatives to develop football across the region to include investments in infrastructure, technical programs, competitions, youth and women’s football and institutional capacity building.
CFU says its priority remain advancing Caribbean football through unity, effective governance, responsible investments and a shared commitment to sustainable development, hence their decision to back Infantino.
The Asian Football Confederation have already thrown their support behind the current President who is seeking a fourth and final term in office.
Prospective challengers have until November 18 to meet the nomination deadline.
With 12 days to go, no serious challenger has yet emerged.
