21 Indonesians deported from Cambodia

Cambodian authorities deported 21 Indonesians after they were arrested for illegally staying and working in Cambodia.

According to the General Department of Immigration, on Monday, under orders from Lieutenant General Sok Veasna, Director-General of Immigration, the Investigation and Enforcement Department collaborated with the Indonesian Embassy in Cambodia to implement deportation procedures through Techo International Airport.

The immigration department said that the expulsions are part of the government’s strict implementation of legal measures to prevent and suppress all types of crimes, especially technology-based crimes and online fraud.

The government affirmed that it will not allow criminals or illegal individuals to use Cambodian territory to commit crimes or engage in fraudulent activities that cause regional and global insecurity.
