Aaron Ford, the Democratic candidate for governor, is telling us he will improve affordability in Nevada at the same time he is posing with California Gov. Gavin Newsom in election posters. Gov. Newsom and the Democrats have been in full control of California for years. Prices, taxes and government waste in the state are so high that it has had negative net migration of about 1.4 million people from 2020 to 2024.
When people are leaving family and friends and gorgeous scenery and wonderful weather behind, you know it’s bad.
I hope voters won’t put Nevada on the same track as California. It’s bad enough that — thanks to Democrat policies minimizing the consequences of theft — we can’t buy bath gel without finding someone with a key. Imagine how bad it could get if we have a governor who sees Gov. Newsom as a role model.
