British band, Take That has launched a WhatsApp Channel for direct and ‘live’ communication with the band’s fans amid complaints that all their newly released songs sound alike.
Apart from diehard fans who keep praising each and every output from the trio, most music critics have been commenting that Take That keep producing the same song with different lyrics towards their forthcoming album ‘Dreamers.’
The new Take That material seems harsh, overproduced, noisy and a thousand miles away from the classic hits that defined the band.
Take That’s fame is mostly built around evergreen numbers like ‘Back for Good,’ ‘Never Forget,’ and ‘Shine,’ released as singles during their past lives.
Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen take turns to sing lead vocals on the singles.
For most fans, ‘Everything Changes,’ an album released during their early outing in 1993 remains the group’s best work to date.
‘Everything Changes,’ was also their first Number One album. It was their follow-up to their debut effort, ‘Take That & Party,’ which came out in 1992.
Their previous album, ‘This Life,’ released in 2023 was an okay affair, but quickly got forgotten.
Their 2017 ‘Wonderland,’ still retains the crown of being their worst album as far as many fans are concerned.
The LP titled, III released in late 2014 is among the best sounding albums and was the first to come out after the band shrank to only three members.
The lead single for the 10th Take That album is “You’re a Superstar”, released on 20 March 2026.
‘Sweet July’ the shortest track on the list, followed as the second single having been released on the 3rd day of July 2026.
‘Feel My Love,’ featuring an Australian singer Michael Patrick Kelly, came out as the third single on 4 September 2026.
“Dreamers” the album’s title track rolled out as the fourth single on 1 October 2026.
The album’s fifth single, “Higher” was heard for the first time on 15th of October 2026.
‘Higher,’ is likely to be the final single from the group before the entire album rolls out on the 20th of November 2026 as they take stock of the performance of previous numbers.
But if the sound of the songs released so far is anything to go by, then critics feel the album will feature 12 tracks that sound flatly the same.
