90 foreigners expelled from Cambodia

Cambodia deported 90 Chinese nationals on Thursday.

Under the leadership and orders of Prime Minister Hun Manet and Sar Sokha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the General Department of Immigration, in cooperation with the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia, deported the Chinese nationals on a chartered flight from Techo International Airport.

The deportees were involved in illegal immigration, illegal work, illegal border crossing, and online scams.

The authorities are clamping down on criminals and illegal immigrants who use Cambodia as a location to carry out illegal scam activities that cause insecurity in the region and the world.

The authorities will continue to purge, suppress, and expel, without exception, to protect national honour and security.
