Syrian Foreign Minister Arrives in Riyadh for Official Visit to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad al‑Shibani arrived in Riyadh on Thursday, leading a high‑level delegation for an official visit aimed at advancing cooperation between Syria and Saudi Arabia.

The Media and Communications Directorate at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the visit is part of ongoing consultations between the two countries and seeks to further develop bilateral relations.

Shibani’s trip comes shortly after President Ahmad al‑Sharaa’s visit to Riyadh on October 6, during which the president, accompanied by the foreign minister, met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

A presidential statement issued at the time said President Sharaa and the Crown Prince discussed ways to strengthen bilateral ties and exchanged views on regional developments and issues of mutual concern.
