To provide greater convenience, the National Military Service Committee has introduced online voluntary registration for military service as an additional option for citizens.
Applicants can register online through the National Military Service Committee’s website: https://nmsc.gov.kh/.
The Ministry of Defence said applications would be accepted from October 10 to 17, 2026, from 7:30am to 11:30am and from 2pm to 5pm, at the Military Service Committee in each applicant’s city or district of residence, located at the local military police base.
Under the sub-decree, male citizens aged 17 to 25 are eligible for military registration, while those aged 18 to 25 are subject to compulsory military service. The compulsory service period is 24 months.
Nearly 3,000 people applied to join the armed forces on the first day of registration earlier this month as Cambodia began implementing its conscription law.
