Department of Elections urges residents who still need to register to review state requirements as election season enters its final weeks
DOVER, Del. — The Delaware Department of Elections is urging residents who are not yet registered to vote to review the state’s registration requirements as Delaware moves closer to the 2026 General Election.
The department issued a voter alert this week directing eligible Delaware residents who want to participate in the General Election to make sure their registration is completed within the state’s required timeframe.
The alert comes as Delaware enters the final weeks of an election season that will decide federal, state and local races across the state.
The Department of Elections maintains the state’s official voter information, including registration requirements, voter status information, election calendars and other resources.
Residents who are unsure whether they are registered, believe their information may need to be updated or need to register for the first time should use the Department of Elections’ official website for the current requirements and available options.
The department also encourages voters to rely on official state election information as Election Day approaches.
Delaware LIVE will continue its 2026 election coverage with candidate profiles, issue stories and information about races throughout the state.
