Bell Integration has partnered with The Cyber Helpline to provide support to those affected by cybercrime, with the aim of raising awareness and reducing the impact of cybercrime on individuals and businesses.

Bell Integration, a provider of end-to-end managed cyber security services, is supporting The Cyber Helpline, a charity supporting people affected by cybercrime, digital fraud and online harm. The programme of volunteering and fundraising kicked off this Cybersecurity Awareness Month.

Bell is enabling employees to donate their time and skills to the charity throughout the year. This October, Bell is also helping to raise vital funds, with more than 50 employees taking part in the Cyber Step Challenge, in which teams collectively “walk around the world” to raise awareness of the impact of cybercrime.

Rob Forde, Head of security services at Bell Integration, said: “Behind every case of cybercrime is a person who may be facing financial loss, distress or threats to their safety. The Cyber Helpline gives people practical guidance when they need it most, helping them to understand what has happened and how to take the necessary steps to regain control.”

The support comes as cybercrime continues to cause serious harm to people across the UK. Around one in seven adults fall victim each year, and individuals lost an estimated £7 billion last year.

Since 2018, The Cyber Helpline has given direct support to more than 100,000 people.

Rory Innes, CEO of The Cyber Helpline added: “Victims of cybercrime and online harm often see their lives devastated, with nowhere to turn. The Cyber Helpline is here to help them and Bell’s support means we can reach more people, faster.”
