The Tripoli based Libyan Minister of Water Resources, Husni Owaidan, discussed with the head of the German company Nenner Hauser yesterday the potential to utilize the company’s modern solutions in Libya to expand non-conventional water sources.

Nenner Hauser specializes in wastewater treatment, seawater desalination, and water quality analysis.

The company presented advanced technical solutions for treating municipal and industrial wastewater, seawater desalination, and water quality analysis, all of which support the diversification of water supply sources.

The Minister emphasized the importance of expanding seawater desalination and the reuse of treated wastewater to enhance water security, while also assessing the suitability of the proposed technologies for the needs of Libya’s water sector.

The meeting focused on opportunities for technical cooperation and leveraging international expertise to develop practical solutions for non-conventional water sources.
