The Election Office has issued a reminder that next Monday, October 5 is the deadline to register to vote in the 2026 midterm election.

Voters are going to the polls on November 3rd to elect a Delegate to Congress and members of the American Samoa House of Representatives.

Acting Election Commissioner Tavai Fiti Tavai says voter registration closes promptly at 4:00 pm on Monday.

Required documents for voter registration are a birth certificate or passport, Social Security Card, and a photo ID.

The Election Office is also encouraging voters to call or drop by the Election Office in Tafuna to verify their voter registration status.

The Election Office is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm and on Saturday from 8:00 am to noon.
