Cloud cover will continue to increase at times over most western regions, including the northwest and southwest. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected from Sunday, September 20, 2026, continuing for the next two days.

Rainfall will be most intense in the afternoons, especially along the coast, interior areas, mountain regions and the far southwest. Heavy rains are likely at times, particularly from Tripoli to Misrata, as well as in Al-Jifarah, Jabal Nafusa, Al-Hamada, Ghat and surrounding areas, Awbari, Al-Fuqaha, and Al-Haruj. This may result in water collecting in low-lying areas and cause flooding of local valleys. Authorities urge the public to take precautions.

Clouds will also increase this evening over some northeastern areas, especially in the Jabal Al-Akhdar highlands. Light rain is expected. The chance for thunderstorms and heavier rain will spread gradually into northeastern areas by tomorrow, particularly around Jabal Al-Akhdar.
