Construction of Kyrgyzstan’s first GDP-compliant pharmaceutical logistics complex begins in Bishkek

AKIPRESS.COM – A foundation capsule was laid in Bishkek for Kyrgyzstan’s first pharmaceutical warehouse and logistics complex compliant with GDP (Good Distribution Practice) standards on September 16.

The main logistics building will have a total area of ​​9,200 square meters, located on a 7.1-hectare site.

Minister of Health Damirbek Osmonov stated that, previously, some pharmaceutical companies would inquire about the availability of a fully GDP-compliant warehouse in Kyrgyzstan before supplying drugs. Certain medications were not supplied to the country due to the lack of necessary storage conditions.

According to the Minister, the new complex will create the necessary conditions for storing oncology and cardiology drugs and allow for an expansion of the range of medicines supplied to Kyrgyzstan.

The complex is designed for the centralized storage and distribution of medicines and medical devices, with subsequent delivery to medical facilities across Kyrgyzstan’s regions.
