New school year begins in Kyrgyzstan as schools celebrate Knowledge Day

AKIPRESS.COM – Schools across Kyrgyzstan are celebrating Knowledge Day today, on September 15, marking the start of the new academic year.

Schools nationwide are holding ceremonial assemblies followed by a first lesson for schoolchildren.

The academic year will end on May 25, 2027.

The start of the school year was postponed from September 1 to September 15 because Kyrgyzstan was hosting major international events, including the SCO Summit and the World Nomad Games.
