The 4x100m mixed Relay final, featuring World Record holders Jamaica, will be the opening event at the three day World Athletics Ultimate Championships in Budapest, Hungary, starting on Friday at 12.08pm, Jamaica time.

The Jamaican quartet will show one change from the team which set the World Record in Botswana four months ago with Jonielle Smith replacing Tia Clayton on anchor.

The team in running order remains Ackeem Blake to Tina Clayton to Kadrian Goldson to Smith.

The United States, Hungary, Nigeria, Spain, The Netherlands, Great Britain, Northern Ireland and Germany are the other nations in the final where the winner bags $U.S 80,000.

Meanwhile ten Jamaicans will also be in action in individual events on the opening day.

Lamara Distin will contest the women’s High Jump final at 12.13pm, Nikisha Pryce and Stacey-Ann Williams will line-up in the women’s 400m semi-finals at 12.48pm

The 100m hurdles semis will be up at 1.04 and features Demisha Roswell, Ackera Nugent, Megan Simmonds and Danielle Williams.

At 1.21pm the 110m hurdles semi-finals will take centre-stage with Orlando Bennett, Tyler Mason and Demario Prince in the Jamaican colours.
