Two days after a fatal shooting outside of a bar on Ryan Street, the Lake Charles Police Department made two arrests in the case.

Just before midnight on Sunday night, the Lake Charles Police were called out to a reported shooting on the 3900 block of Ryan Street, near Prestige 337, according to a Wednesday news release from the department.

As the officers arrived, a man, who was later identified as 28-year-old Christopher Josiah Thomas, was found deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.

While the officers responded to the call, they had stopped a speeding vehicle leaving the area and discovered that one of the passengers had a gunshot wound and was headed to an area hospital, the release states.

The officers and detectives learned while at the scene that the person who was injured was shot at the same time Thomas was killed, and in the same area. He has been released from the hospital, the release states.

Through the investigation, police learned that 19- year- old Savion Jayrel Guillory and 39-year-old Tronoski Terrez Thomas, who has no relation to the victim, were responsible for firing into a group of people who were standing in a parking lot on Ryan Street, striking and killing Josiah Thomas and injuring the other victim, the news release states.

At 2:19 p.m. Tuesday, Savion Guillory was arrested on charges of second-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, and illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities, with a bond set at $2.5 million.

Tronoski Thomas was arrested around 2:14 p.m. on Tuesday in the 5400 block of Lily Lane on charges of principal to second-degree murder and possession of a firearm or carrying a concealed weapon by a person convicted of certain felonies. His bond was set at $650,000
