Benghazi – The Anti-Illegal Migration Agency announced it has begun deporting 50 Sudanese migrants from the Greater Benghazi detention center to the city of Al-Kufra. The agency said the migrants have infectious diseases. This is a step toward removing them entirely from Libyan territory.

The operation followed instructions from Major General Salah Mahmoud Al-Khafifi, the head of the agency, and was supervised by Major General Abdelali Suleiman, the director of branch administration.

The agency’s media office said representatives from the Sudanese consulate attended the deportation. Officials described this as part of ongoing coordination to ensure all legal and administrative procedures are followed.

The agency noted that the deportation is part of its ongoing efforts to implement removal plans and curb illegal migration. It said necessary measures are being taken against migrants who have violated Libyan law.
