President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Mayor of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali on September 3 laid the foundation stone for the construction of a multifunctional architectural service complex in the Shohmansurkh district of the capital.
The central object of the new complex will be the “Dushanbe Tower” — a high-rise building with 77 floors and a height of 340 meters. It will become the tallest structure in the region. In total, the architectural complex will include 52 facilities, including five high-rise towers and the largest shopping and entertainment center in the region.
The project provides for the creation of a multifunctional space with a hotel, cafes and restaurants, retail areas, offices, a concert hall with 1,000 seats, a cinema, a children’s zone, a sports complex, a park, and a lake.
As part of the project, 42 residential buildings with 6,160 apartments, a general education institution for 1,200 students, and a kindergarten for 500 children will also be built.
The total area of the complex territory will be 29 hectares. After the completion of construction, a modern residential and business cluster with an area of 270,000 square meters will be created here, designed for work, residence, recreation, and the development of the service sector. The project will create more than 4,300 new jobs.
The construction of the complex will be carried out by the company “TAS INTERNATIONAL GROUP” and is scheduled for five years. More than 2,000 local builders will be involved in the implementation of the project.

According to the developers’ concept, the new complex will become a symbol of modern urban development in Dushanbe, combining commercial, tourist, residential, and social facilities with the use of digital management technologies.
During his review of the project, Emomali Rahmon instructed the responsible officials to ensure high quality of construction work and to use modern architectural solutions that meet world-class standards.
Earlier, the company Cool Design, which is responsible for preparing the design solution for the complex, reported that in addition to Tajik companies, specialized companies from Uzbekistan, Russia, and the United Arab Emirates will also participate in the construction of the facility.
The complex will be located on A. Donish, N. Muhammad, A. Dehlavi, A. Lohuti, A. Adkhamov, F. Attor, and S. Shedrin streets, the company noted.
