Banistmo has a new identity, which marks its evolution and growth in the Panamanian market, now in partnership with the BSC Financial Group. Aimeé Sentmat de Grimaldo pictured below, president of Banistmo, highlighted that the change in Banistmo’s visual identity seeks to reflect the evolution of an organization with more than five decades of presence in the country, maintaining the link with its Panamanian roots and projecting an institution in transformation.
“It represents the pride of being an organization that has been here for more than 50 years, that recognizes the value of that history, but that also assumes a commitment to Panama,” Sentmat de Grimaldo stated. The CEO emphasized that the new image represents a brand that is closer to its customers, focused on supporting them with new solutions and reaffirming the bank’s purpose of continuing to grow in Panama and the region. “It does so starting from that new logo that connects with our colors, with our roots as Panamanians, with that red and blue.”
She emphasized that the new identity expresses a dynamic brand, solid in its values, approachable, and focused on exceeding expectations at every point of contact with its clients, suppliers, partners, and employees. Banistmo, a bank that has evolved alongside its clients for over 50 years, connects opportunities and drives the country’s development and growth. The unveiling of Banistmo’s new visual identity took place at its main branch located in Soho Mall, Panama City, in a gathering that brought together media, clients and special guests.
Banistmo’s new logo is composed of five curved, flowing elements that converge around a central point, creating a sense of connection, dynamism, and evolution. The symbol, accompanied by the colors red and blue, seeks to reflect the institution’s Panamanian roots and a new stage of financial transformation. “The unveiling of this new brand identity does not represent the beginning of a new Bank, it is a great moment for a bank that you know, with more than 50 years of experience in Panama and the second most important in the Panamanian banking sector, with more than 600,000 clients who trust in its services, its structure and solidity .
“Today we mark the beginning of Banistmo as part of the BSC Financial Group, adding new capabilities and possibilities to serve at a regional level, making it possible to open new markets and connect with new opportunities in Central America,” said Aimeé Sentmat de Grimaldo pictured below, president of Banistmo. She explained that Banistmo went through a transition process after the announcement of the purchase of the operation by the BSC financial group.
She noted that the main objective was to ensure an orderly integration without impact on customers, a process that culminated on June 30, 2026 with the approval of the banking regulator and compliance with the corresponding processes. “Having concluded the operation on June 30 of this year with the due approval of the banking regulator, I am very proud to say that for our clients there has really been no friction of any kind associated with this process.” The CEO emphasized that the bank prepared with dedicated teams to ensure a seamless transition and maintain service continuity. She also indicated that Banistmo’s new identity marks the beginning of a new phase focused on offering innovative solutions and strengthening customer relationships.
Federico Nasser Facussé pictured above center, president of Grupo Financiero BSC, emphasized that they believe in the Panamanian market and seek to solidify Banistmo as a financial benchmark in the region. “We are convinced of something very powerful: when our clients do well and the countries where we operate progress, our companies also thrive. This conviction guides our vision for Banistmo: to strengthen an institution that is part of Panama’s history and development, adding the capabilities, experience, innovation, and backing of Grupo Financiero BSC to expand its value proposition.
We believe in Panama and have a clear aspiration: to build, together with the Banistmo team, the best bank in Panama and a financial benchmark for our region,” stated Nasser Facussé. Banistmo is now moving forward as a group focused on understanding and adapting to customer needs. It will also strengthen its commitment to the mortgage market, personal banking, and corporate banking with a vision for local growth, leveraging the strength of a financial group that is investing in Central America and Panama as a regional financial hub.
