Wayne Robinson, Principal of Jamaica College, stated that the school body was pleased to see former high school standout and NBA player Nick Richards return to his old stomping ground to host a basketball clinic while sharing motivation pointers to the student-athletes. 

According to Robinson, Richards embodies the spirit of the Old Hope Road-based institution. 

Order of the Griffin is a prestigious honour given by the Jamaica College Old Boys Association of New York to outstanding graduates who demonstrates excellence in leadership, public service and community commitment. 

Richards is a six year NBA player who now represents the Miami Heat.
