Trump announces ‘most crushing economic operation ever’ against Iran

AKIPRESS.COM – U.S. President Donald Trump announced what he described as a “devastating economic operation” against Iran, stating that Washington is launching it in response to Tehran’s unwillingness to reach a deal.

“No one has given the Islamic Republic of Iran a greater opportunity to make a Deal than me. Tragically, for them, they have failed to take it. Therefore, today, I am announcing the most crushing economic operation ever taken against any country!” Donald Trump wrote on the social media platform Truth Social.

The U.S. President clarified that the initiative entails “economic warfare and isolation on an unprecedented scale.” He added, “ANY country that allows its financial institutions, businesses, airports, or government entities to provide any type of lifeline to Iran will itself face TREMENDOUS Economic Consequences.”

Donald Trump further claimed that Iran is “hanging by a thread,” adding that “their navy is gone, their air force is destroyed, their military factories are now rubble, and their currency is worthless.”
