President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon traveled to Roghun on August 20 to open a number of new facilities, meet with residents, and familiarize himself with the progress of construction work, according to the president’s official website.
During the working visit, the head of state was accompanied by Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Qohir Rasoulzoda, and heads of a number of ministries and departments.
In the city of Roghun, Emomali Rahmon opened new buildings of the prosecutor’s office and the tax inspectorate. The buildings have reportedly been equipped with necessary conditions for staff work, including offices, conference halls, and other premises. The tax inspection building also includes a taxpayer service center and has been set up to implement digital technologies.
At the Roghun Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP), the president got acquainted with a new dormitory of JSC Tajikhydroelektromontazh (Hydroelectric Installation). The building contains 84 bedrooms equipped with everything necessary for workers to live. Adjacent to the dormitory, construction of additional facilities, including a dining hall, is planned to be completed by the end of the year.
In the settlement of Obi-Garm, the sanatorium Osoishgohi Asri 21 (Sanatorium of the 21st Century) has been put into operation. The facility is designed to accommodate up to 40 guests simultaneously and includes medical and wellness facilities, pools with therapeutic water, a dining hall, and a sports hall.
In the village council of Qadi Obi, a new building of the Roghun automobile road maintenance institution has also been opened. The building is equipped with work offices, a conference hall, a dining hall, and rest rooms. The road equipment of the institution is monitored using GPS, and in the future, the institution is planned to be connected to a digital system.
During the working visit, the head of state will also be familiarized with the implementation of the Roghun HPP construction project.
