Tajikistan, Japan discuss developing cooperation

AKIPRESS.COM – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin held a meeting with Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Eri Arfiya on August 11, the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan reported.

The parties have exchanged views on a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda. They expressed interest in further strengthening friendly relations and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Japan.

Particular attention was paid to developing practical cooperation in priority areas, as well as interaction within the framework of the “Central Asia + Japan” Dialogue.

The importance of implementing the agreements reached by the leaders of the states, as well as their practical implementation aimed at further strengthening cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and Japan, has been emphasized.

The meeting concluded with a ceremony of signing of joint documents, including the exchange of notes concerning the Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS), and Dushanbe substation.
