PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema on Monday pledged more investment in roads, water, jobs and social programs for Chipata, and urged residents to give his administration a second mandate in the August elections.
Addressing thousands at a meeting in Chipata, Hichilema thanked residents for turning out and said their support “will not go unnoticed.”
He said government will work on urban, feeder and inter-district roads, and address water challenges. He also promised more jobs, business opportunities, expanded social cash transfer and cash-for-work programs, more schools, more health facilities and improved service delivery.
“More freedom. More schools. More health facilities and quality service delivery will only continue once you give us this second mandate,” Hichilema said.
“We love you. We care for you. We will continue delivering for you all,” he added. “God bless Chipata.”
