Mount Pleasant Academy have qualified for the CONCACAF Caribbean Cup after defeating SV Robinhood of Suriname 3-nil in the semi-finals of the CFU Club Shield at the Larry Gomes Stadium in Trinidad, on Friday.

New signing Trayvon Reid, Demario Phillips and Jahshaun Anglin were on target for the former National champions.

Mount Pleasant now joins Premier League Champions Portmore United and Cavalier as Jamaican teams in the Caribbean Cup which kicks off next week.

The St. Ann based unit will now look to wrap up the Shield on Sunday when they face either Metropolitan of Puerto Rico or Delfines del Este of the Dominican Republic who’ll meet in the other semi-final.

If Mount Pleasant wins the Shield on Sunday they will play in Group B of the Caribbean Cup with Cavalier, Portmore United, Cibao FC and Salcedo FC.
