South Sudan’s Jamus SC has reached the semi-finals of the 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup after defeating Somalia’s Mogadishu City Club 2-1 in a quarter-final match.

Jamus SC came from behind to win the game after conceding a first-half goal.

The Juba-based club responded in the second half, with Mario equalizing in the 54th minute.

Ramanzani scored the winning goal four minutes later in the 58th minute to complete the comeback.

The victory sends Jamus SC into the last four of the tournament, where they could face one of the region’s top clubs.

Possible semi-final opponents include Sudan’s Al Hilal Omdurman, Kenya’s Gor Mahia FC, Rwanda’s Rayon Sports FC, or Uganda’s Vipers SC, depending on the remaining quarter-final results.

Jamus SC’s qualification is another achievement for South Sudanese club football as the team continues its strong run in one of East and Central Africa’s major club competitions.

The semi-final fixture will be confirmed after the remaining quarter-final matches are completed.
