Maju Motors Sdn Bhd officially launched the all-new BYD ATTO 2, introducing an affordable sub-compact plug-in hybrid electric vehicle SUV and further strengthening the country’s growing New Energy Vehicle landscape.

The public unveiling took place at the BYD Showroom in Telanai, drawing more than 200 invited guests including customers, members of the media, business partners and distinguished guests. The launch marks another milestone in BYD’s continued expansion in Brunei, reinforcing its commitment to accessible and sustainable mobility solutions.
The BYD ATTO 2, designed to make hybrid technology more attainable, brings together practicality, efficiency and modern styling in a compact SUV suited for everyday driving.
Accessible hybrid performance
Powered by a 1.5-litre Xiaoyun engine paired with an electric motor, the ATTO 2 delivers 194 horsepower and 215 Nm of torque, offering a responsive and efficient drive. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.9 seconds, making it well-suited for both urban roads and highway cruising.

With a combined driving range of up to 1,000 kilometres under WLTP standards, the ATTO 2 provides the flexibility of extended travel without compromising efficiency. Its intelligent hybrid system ensures smooth power delivery while maintaining optimal fuel consumption for daily commutes and longer journeys alike.
Contemporary design and everyday functionality
The ATTO 2 adopts BYD’s signature Dragon Face design language, presenting a bold and modern exterior that reflects both strength and sophistication. The SUV is complemented by 18-inch alloy wheels, wrap-around LED tail lights and NFC card-supported keyless access, enhancing both convenience and style.
Customers can choose from five colour options, namely Cosmos Black, Turquoise Blue, Sailor Blue, Ski White and Harbour Grey, allowing drivers to express their personal style while enjoying a refined and contemporary look.

Inside, the ATTO 2 offers a premium cabin focused on comfort and technology. The interior is designed with high-quality finishes and a feature-rich intelligent cockpit that enhances the driving experience while maintaining practicality for daily use.

During the launch event, guests were presented with an in-depth overview of the ATTO 2’s features and technology before experiencing the vehicle firsthand through an exclusive showcase. The event also provided an opportunity for attendees to engage with BYD representatives and learn more about the brand’s expanding portfolio in Brunei.
A lucky draw was also held for attending customers, with three winners receiving complimentary servicing packages. Nur Maziah Binti Haji Hasdiny won a three-year servicing package, Md Muazzif bin Shahrin received a five-year servicing package, while Pg Hj Noorasmali Bin Pg Hj Ahmad was awarded a 10-year servicing package.

The BYD ATTO 2 is now available at an introductory price of BND27,900 for the first 100 units, with financing options starting from approximately BND3XX per month. This positions the model as one of the most accessible entry points into hybrid mobility in Brunei, offering strong value without compromising on performance or features.
