St Thomas Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital have partnered with Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) to host the humanitarian organisation’s ‘Become a Supporter Without Borders’ fundraising campaign.
Described as MSF’s first-ever fundraising initiative in Malta, the campaign aims to encourage members of the public to support the charity’s frontline medical work in countries affected by conflict, disease outbreaks, natural disasters and humanitarian crises.
Throughout the campaign, MSF staff will be based at both hospitals, where visitors can learn more about the organisation’s work and sign up as regular supporters.
Clinical Director Dr Kristin Buhagiar welcomed the collaboration, saying it was both professionally and personally meaningful, adding that she has admired MSF’s work for more than 20 years and is inspired by its commitment to providing medical care regardless of borders, politics or circumstance.
She also encouraged anyone visiting either hospital to stop by the MSF stand, meet the team and consider supporting the organisation’s life-saving work around the world.
