[𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐭]: The Government wishes to advise the public that Cabinet, at its meeting this week, has approved a new adjustment to taxi and bus fares.
Under this decision, taxi and bus fares will increase by 30 percent above the current approved rates.
The Government acknowledges the importance of ensuring that public transport services remain sustainable while continuing to serve the needs of the public.
The Land Transport Authority [L.T.A.] will provide further details on the implementation of the new fares, including the revised fare schedule and the effective date of the adjustment.
